Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Black Space Winnipeg and Queer People of Colour Winnipeg are pleased to announce internationally-renown activist and scholar Dr. Angela Davis will be speaking on the role of social movements in the Trump-era in Winnipeg next Spring.

Dr. Davis was a lead speaker this past Saturday at the Women’s March on Washington where she said: “Those who still defend the supremacy of white male hetro-patriarchy had better watch out. The next 1,459 days of the Trump administration will be 1,459 days of resistance.”

Davis has been an outspoken proponent of inclusive and intersectional feminism that calls upon all to resistance racism, islama-phobia, anti-semitism, misogyny, and capitalist exploitation.
